We drove throughThe Mohave Preserve to get from LasVegas to Joshua Tree in California as suggested by our hosts Scott and Steve. This was the beginning of an exceptional experience; the wonderful hosts, the eco-friendly accomodations, the organic breakfasts and a private spa area off our bedroom to soak in a hottub, easing sore muscles from hiking, while watching the stars. I... more

What an amazing stay. The straw bale building that the rooms are housed in are beautiful and comfortable. The hot tub is great, and you can gaze at the stars. The innkeepers have thought of every detail and everything is very eco-friendly. The breakfast each day was wonderful. They are more than happy too accommodate any dietary restrictions. It is... more

My wife and I stayed at Sacred Sands for 3 nights in mid-March and we had a truly memorable experience. It’s been almost 2 months since we were there and we’re still talking about what an incredible find this B&B was. Meeting Scott and Steve was a highlight of our trip to Joshua Tree. They were both kind and considerate... more

We camped at Black Rock Campground at JTNP a couple of years ago because it had running water. However, this year I decided to brave the pit toilets and stayed with my partner at Jumbo Rocks. It's the largest and also the most crowded campground in the park, but we both felt it was worth it because most of the... more

Serene beauty, meticulous attention to details and comfort, this Bed and Breakfast is superb. The interior design and unique architecture paralleled the distinct natural beauty of the views of Joshua Tree National Park, nearly adjacent to the property. The owners provided the opportunity to relax and enjoy a sublime experience. Guests are welcomed with homemake cookies, lovely teas, and amazingly... more

This is truly a beautiful B&B that is most definitely a labor of love for its owners, Steve Pratt and Scott Cutler. The hilltop location provides a sweeping view of the landscape and the design of the building itself compliments the natural setting, especially with the focus on making the construction as environmentally friendly as possible. Since friends of mine... more

We read read all of the wonderful reviews and decided to book two nights at the Sacred Sands. After our stay, we can say that the Sacred Sands is one of the finest places we have ever stayed. The Inn sits on top of a hill a mile from the entrace to Joshua Tree National Park. The views are stunning... more

Sacred Sands is a fabulous B&B located 1 mile from the entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. There are only 2 rooms, each with a huge outdoor space with a private hot tub/spa and shower, lounging platform, and chaises. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've ever slept on, the shower has to be seen to be believed,... more

This little gem is one of a kind. I recommend it before the rest of the world finds it. There is nothing that even comes close to this in the area. Beautiful, serene, reasonably priced. Lovely, attentive and respectful owners. It is like having your own personal spa. Ton's of privacy. Right at the entrance to Joshua Tree park. I felt... more

We stayed for two nights at this beautiful and special place in the high desert over Thanksgiving weekend. The views are breathtaking; the room designed for pampering and relaxation with no detail over looked. The hosts are kind, nurturing, loving people who built the stawbale bed and breakfast from the ground up with earth-friendly care and respect for the envirornment.... more

We stayed at Sacred Sands for three nights during a recent trip to California. I can't imagine a better place to stay in the desert. The primary thing that makes this a fantastic place to be is the genuine spirit of hospitality of Scott and Steve, the owners and hosts, who live on site. Both are kind, friendly (but very... more

We just camped there last weekend, and it was amazing. Our campsite was facing the Jushua tree forest in the open valley, when we woke up in the monring and opened the tent, we were speechless with such an amazing view in front of us. The campground was very quiet, and there was plenty of space to each camp site... more

Perfect location--only a mile below the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. The rooms are as lovely as any I've ever seen, the amenities are superb, the food delicious. Scott and Steve are wonderful hosts. I've been going to Joshua Tree for 15 years now, and this place is the best! more

Peaceful, romantic, relaxing...the lack of electronics of any kind in the room didn't even phase us. One mile from the Joshua Tree National Park. We spent a whole day hiking and returned to the room--and slipped right into the private spa on our outdoor patio before those muscles had a chance to seize up. The hosts were incredibly kind and... more

Wow, as I came up over the hill and saw Sacred Sands I knew that this must be the place. After traveling for hours this was a most welcome site. I had visited the website but that did not do it justice. This place is gorgeous. The attention to detail is evident without being ostentatious. The rooms are quiet, private... more
