We visited both the East and West Parks on a recent visit to Tucson. I actually drove through here on my way to the Desert Museum, on winding roads that reminded me a bit of driving through Yosemite or Big Sur. It was a really nice drive, and I took advantage of the pull-offs to take lots of beautiful pictures of the cacti and the rocky hills beyond. It's definitely worth the drive out... more

The Adventures of the Two Wise Ones www.twowiseones.com Hohokam Road tends to be a bit like a washboard. It's a dirt road that starts out one-way till it intersects with Golden Gate Road (also unpaved and washboardy). Take a left at the intersection and drive back Westward to see the petroglyphs at Signal Hill. Then get back onto Sandario Road.... more
