This place was once a great hotel of PAP, but has seen better days. It is literally falling apart. My room leaked when it rained. Service is very poor. Food is pretty good. It is historical but in very poor condition and would not recommend. more

This was my first trip to Haiti and I was overwhelmed by it. The resort was a beacon of light in a country of darkness. Kaliko was awesome by Haitian standards, which are probably different than US standards. I would not say that our room was particularly clean and many "friends" visited us in our room at night. Yes we... more
It was clean, the food was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The pool is cleaned once a day. There is a pool table that is free to use. The house keeping staff are friendly and trustworthy. The bar is very nice with air conditioning as are alot of the rooms. The resturant is very nice, but service is exstreamly slow... more
My flight was delayed , so me and my wife stayed there for 3 days . The Staff , here is amazing , they make you really feel at home. The Restaurant was really good , they had a diversity of European , and typical Haitien food. Anyway I had a good time , and I would come back. more
Had been to Kaliko Beach several years ago and some things have changed overall same clean rooms and quiet serene atmosphere, wasn't aware that the electricity goes off during the day, never happened the last time, food was a diiferent story, some was unedible and only 1 meat available, not worth the all inclusive rate, also had to pay for drinks. pool... more

I usually go to Haiti every year around march, most of the times i stayed at Montana. I was made aware that a new hotel had opened so i decided to try something different. A group of us recently visited the Visa Lodge. We chose this hotel because we had heard some great things about it and we felt more secure booking it because of its proximity to the airport. When we arrived, we waited about 1 1/2 hours for our room. To be honest, the room was how we expected it to be.... more
We've stayed in several hotels in Haiti, but never a guesthouse before. We REALLY liked the staff and service...so warm and helpful. We'd heard such great things about this place that maybe our expectations were too high, but here are the disappoinments: Sometimes there wasn't enough food put out for meals, and there was a wait while they fixed extra.... more

I decided to take my husband to Haiti. since He had not been back in 15 years and for one year I assured Him that Haiti has some beautiful places. when we got to the hotel straight from the airport, the check in was great. I went to Haiti for business and research. Most of my stay was at the Villa Creole in Petion Ville. It is a a nice smaller hotel and it is down the street from the El Rancho (which has a great Sunday buffet). Initially I thought the Villa Creole was okay but I was there during the food riots and... more
My husband and I stayed there for almost one week during the beginning of April 2008. The staff was friendly, especially Viviane, the front desk clerk. The only problem that I had is the telephone (intercom) service. From your room, there is no phone or intercom to order anything. If you need something from the office, you have to walk... more

I stayed at the Montana in March 2008 for one week. Upon arrival I was most impressed with the elegant atmosphere. I was very disappointed with my stay at Walls Guest House. The room was in a separate part of the complex, it was small, very cramped, dark and dingy; we did not feel safe. Three beds with little space for our luggage, this room was not like the picture on their web site . The bathrooms were plugged for the... more
