Stayed at the Verney House Tropical Resort. The views are some of the best in the area. It is lush and we were surrounded by hundreds of different varieties of tropical plants. Stayed for 2 weeks in April/May 2008. The hotel is very large with over 850 rooms, we stayed in the main block, the room was clean and did not have a musty smell even in the bathroom, no bugs, air conditioning was great, room was serviced every day with clean sheets and a nice touch was the flowers laid on... more

Need to relax? Check. Want to swim in crystal clear & clean waters? Check. Looking for "personal" service? Check. Massage/Spa? Check. Tennis courts...2 of them. Cozy rooms? Done. Water sports? Plenty. The hotel employees are excellent. They will all remember your name within hours. Very hospitable, friendly, courteous & of course professional. The bad: #1 - A little too quiet.... more
