Moraine Lake is amazing! I could have stayed at the top of the Rockpile for hours, taking it all in! As it is, there are other worthwhile activities in the area--canoeing (for rent at Moraine Lake Lodge) and hiking. We arrived at the Chateau Lake Louise during the later afternoon of July 1 (Canada Day)... after a long day of driving and sightseeing from Banff to the Columbia Ice Fields and then back to our destination.
