Booked via alpharooms.com and 'requested' a double room. Got it, and dead chuffed to find we also had a roof terrace, a wonderful, private little sun-trap for those few moments we weren't lapping up Barcelona's amazing atmosphere. What made me choose BCN is that I absolutly wanted to stay in a backpacker apartment. BCN was not my favourite though. If you want something a bit more clean and sophisticated, book for example at "About Singer 109" (in Berlin) or Lucky Youth backpacker apartments (in Paris). Those are really something. As for BCN, it was still quite interesting.... more
