We stayed in Hotel Eiger for 3 nights in July 08. the hotel is centrally located in the center of Grindelwald and on the main street, 5-10 min walk from the train station. We had a room facing Mount Eiger (you might call it mountain front)--the view was breathtaking upon entering the room. The room itself was average, pretty small... more

I was disappointed with the Eiger, given the rave reviews. My room was uninspiring, with a dated 50s motel look. The booking promised free wi-fi, but the signal didn't reach my room, so I had to sit in the hall in another part of the hotel to use it. The halls, and my room if I left the window open... more
