Koulu probably was the weakest of the brewpubs I visited in a weekend trip to Finland. The beer selection was quite small and the menu limited. The ciders were the most interesting offering. This was a very good hotel within reasonable walking distance of downtown sights. We also walked down the river to the castle, about 2 km, then took a convenient bus ride back to the downtown area. The hotel is nicely decorated and the room well-furnished. I would have no reservations about recommending this hotel to friends and would stay here... more
