We've been having winter holidays in Israel's Red Sea resort annually for some time, usually going in late January or February. Warm, sunny weather is usually guranteed, with daytime highs rarely falling below 70F (though evenings can be chilly). Eilat is an attractive resort, with spectacular mountains on each side, and with stunning vistas down the the Red Sea gulf.... more

Our three night stay at the Orchid Hotel started off with the staff giving us keys to a room that was exactly as the last gests had left it. Filthy towels, opened shampoos, the whole shebang.
