Reached hotel in the morning at 09:00 hrs with another friend. BP Samila Beach Hotel

This hotel lies at the north end of Simila Beach and is the best hotel in Songkhla at this time. Rooms are large and comfortable but only 3 star by European standards. Only local TV channels available but furnishings are ok. Bed was king size and clean but mattress was about the hardest I have ever slept on. Nice pool... more

This was to have been a pleasant and quiet interlude in the middle of a hectic two weeks overland journey from Singapore to Bangkok. The hotel itself is OK, especially for the price and the staff try to be friendly and helpful although their collective knowledge of English is close to being non-existent.
