I first experienced this hotel in orgiastic ecstasy back in '85 (it's a former Love Hotel gone legit) -- the velour walls are still the same, but over-all it's nicer and just as obnoxiously loud when the airport shuttle bus parks outside and pumps diesel fumes thoroughly throughout the hotel. I am giving this a five star rating due to the price, location and cleanliness. It is truly an excellent value and I had a great stay for three nights in April 2008. The location is close enough to all the action of Shibuya, but just outside enough to have peace and quiet. It's definitely walking distance to the train... more
Tokyo Green Hotel Ochanomizu

I stayed at the Green Hotel in Ochanomizu from May 1 to May 4. It was my first visit to Japan outside of Narita and the hotel was a perfect find. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk from the nearest train station, Ochanomizu. There are no elevators or escalators at the train station, but I personally didn't find it... more
