This is the oldest existing inn in South Africa--good news and bad news. While I orginally booked our family in The Wild Mushroom Guest House, it is now managed by D'ouwe Werf ("The Old Yard"). Our rooms at The Wild Mushroom were three stories up and we had a lot of luggage...so my husband asked if there were more convenient... more

The restaurant has a lovely feel... and the small but interesting menu is realy appealing. The food served looks good on a menu but the tastes are worlds apart - it is like eating 4 to 5 different meals - were you would like the tastes to collide into one. Good selection of wines. Was not realy a wow experience more
