I just came back from Iceland after a fantastic 2 1/2 days trip (through Icelandair's winter packages). The reason of the trip was for diving in Silfra, the 'crack' between the European and American tectonic plates. In the middle of most W European countries the park would be outstanding. Its unspolit wilderness makes good rambling country and its geological significance, apparent in the knife edge ridges makes it interesting.
