The Dearborn Inn, A Marriott Hotel

Nov 12, 2008

This is a very nice hotel. The hotel was originally built by Henry Ford at the turn of the century. It has been kept up very well, but still has a lot of the original charm, which I liked. The room was a tad on the small side, but it fit my needs fine. It was clean, and the bed... more

Do not come here if your expecting the Ritz or some divine breakfast or if your a snob. Some of the reviews are ridiculous. I wonder what these people are expecting for $50 a night. I stayed here Oct 18-25th and worth every penny. Clean, comfy beds and huge fluffy pillows. Located in West Dearborn near tons of great restaurants,... more

My family stayed at this hotel during a weekend trip to the Ford Museum and Greenfield Village and it was an excellent choice! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were extremely clean and there were plenty of towels and washclothes. We had two young girls with us and they loved the pool (which was also exceptionally clean).... more

Hyatt Regency Dearborn

I recently stayed at the Hyatt in Dearborn, Michigan October 26-31. The check in and check out was a breeze. The staff was very attentive and each time I called the front desk, I was addressed by name. Wake up calls were prompt, followed by a second call 15 minutes later. I had a problem with my shower on the... more

Highly recommend both of these sites. We spent one day in each, from 10 to 5- the operating hours during our late October visit. Price- about $80 for 2 seniors- all the way, includes both sites and all rides- I would recommend this. Weather wasn't the greatest for the village visit but there are enough chances to get out of... more

We traveled to Detroit to see a show at the Fox Theater (very nice theater) and decided to stay close to downtown instead of in downtown. Hotel is a large historic building, tastefully decorated with lovely grounds. Hotel was convenient to downtown without being too close. Dearborn is a very nice area, Hotel is right next to Ford. The room... more

Ourselves and 2 other couples stayed the weekend. Rooms were wonderful, and warm. The house is very well maintained. The Rooms, were very nice, and the beds were very confortable. They have a nice Game Room. The neighborhood is very nice and safe to walk in. It is a short walk to the downtown area. I'm planning to stay again,... more

We drove on a whim from Port Clinton, Ohio to see the museum. My only regret is that we didn't leave earlier so we could get there earlier and explore longer. The museum and Village entrance passes for two and parking for one vehicle cost us $65.00 dollars. The five dollar parking was a bit irritating but the museum and... more

Benihana

I am thrilled that Benihana decided to build a new restaurant in the same convenient location. The new look is very eye-catching. I had the hibachi chicken and my chef was amazing. He threw shrimp into his hat! He was a riot. I also enjoyed having sushi and drinks at the bar while waiting. Great experience. Especially for groups. Come... more

We walked in this restaurant for the first time and at the hostess station, there was a manager standing and greeted us very politely and sat us on a beautiful couch and 20 seconds later we had this beautiful waitress wait on us and we placed an order and the food came out really quick with a beautiful presentation, perfect... more

The grounds were very nice, hotel is pretty & interesting from a historical perspective. We were disappointed in how small the rooms were, especially the bathroom! The heat/air in the room also wasn't adjusting properly so it was extremely warm & uncomfortable all night in the room & I'm normally cold. Unfortunately we weren't able to change rooms because they... more

This is not even a four star. The whole ambience feels oldish. Small overstuffed lobby. Rooms average for this class. Then: total power outage for three hours. I mean: dark as a cows ... . Not much "light" from the staff either. No elevators - "go outside and find teh stairway yourself" -only: it was locked... Stay somewhere else. more

It was a nice hotel, but I'm not sure we would spend the money again. We booked the Dining Package and then I moved our reservation up a week. When it was changed, they switched us from the Dining Package to another package without dinner (without informing us). They gave us a colonial home, which was nice, but much more... more

The first day we spent at Greenfield Village. First thing we took the train around the entire village to get an idea of what we would be seeing. Then we started off at Porches and Parlors. These are the original houses brought to Greenfield Village. They have people dressed in period costume that know a lot about the history involved... more
