My husband and I just returned from a 2-night stay at Chestnut Hill on the Delaware. We enjoyed our time immensly and wish it were longer. The owners Linda and Rob were wonderful hosts. It was like visiting relatives you never met, then realizing they're so nice that you wish you could see them more often! Their Victorian home is... more

My husband and I had an excellent dinner at the Oyster House last night. We took the plunge and had oysters for an appetizer... they were excellent, we were pleasantly surprised. For the main course we had the Crab Norfolk (excellent) and Blackened Swordfish (average). They had a nice selection of wine and martinis. For dessert we had the Chocolate... more

This was a surprise weekend from my husband. We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before. I always thought they looked so cute but had been hesitant to book one because I thought we thought we'd feel a little uncomfortable in someone's "home." My husband's co-worked had stayed here many times before and highly recommened it. This was... more

We have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and this one is a winner. I can not say enough good things about this place. The view of the river is wonderful. We especially enjoyed sitting on the rockers on the porch and watching the sunset. The hosts Linda and Rob are warm friendly people and very helpful. The place was... more

My boyfriend and I enjoyed a lovely weekend at this charming B&B. The innkeepers were warm and welcoming, the breakfasts were fabulous and the setting was so serene and peaceful I hated to leave. We enjoyed shopping and dining in New Hope and then relaxing and unwinding in quiet Milford. The beautiful Delaware River is right in the front yard... more

Just came back from a 2 night stay in Upper Black Eddy. One of the things we were excited about was our last night were we scheduled to goto the Ship Inn for dinner and drinks. The reviews made it seems like an authentic English Pub. So we walked over for dinner anticipating a great time. However once inside it... more

While New Hope and Lambertville are teeming with tourists, quiet Milford is a refreshing break. One is always able to get a table at the Ship's Inn and relax while watching the ducks in the creek below. The menu is British and includes dishes like Tiddy Oggie, Bangors & Mash and (my favorite) Lancashire Cheese & Onion Pie. Service is... more

I absolutely love this bed & breakfast!!! It is not a far drive from NYC and yet you feel like you are in heaven. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay especially for a romantic getaway, then this is the place to be. It is such a lovely place and the owners Rob & Linda are such... more

I enjoyed the meal and freshly brewed ale. The salads are very good and they have an upscale look to the dishes. A nice variety from "Pub grub" to a tasty seafood. They also don't forget the vegetarians in the group with a number of options. After dinner coffee came in a french press and the french fries are really... more

This bed and breakfast captured so much. First of all it sits on the Delaware River with a view of Pennsylvania, and you can walk a small bridge from N.J. to Pennsylvania. The most patient B+B owners I ever met are Linda and Rob. They are very proud and appreciative of their home ,very welcoming and not intrusive. Their pristine... more

We stopped at the Ship Inn for lunch. It was a nice experience. The atmosphere is nice. The building is historic and you can tell from the old brick work. The tables are meant to look old, almost as if they were parts of a ship. We ordered beers and received them within 5 minutes, although maybe it wasn't as... more

Nice place, a local haunt, somewhat upscale. Attractive sort-of-publike building (could really use a fireplace), better in front than the back. They brew their own, and the Best Bitter is as good an approximation of English real ale as you can get in these parts. Which is not actually saying much. But it is decent to drink. Still trying to... more
