This was my first experience with Gunnison Beach. The beach was immaculate. The water was clean and devoid of any debri I have encountered on other beaches. Sandy Hook is best known for it's clothing optional beach. This is one of the few CO beachs in the US that is legal due to it being on government land. It is a bit had to find your first time but it is worth it. If you are going from Memorial Day to Labor Day it's $10/day for parking...or... more

I have visited Sandy Hook many times. The woman from Chatham is correct, the rangers are less than helpful. Also, the visitors do not remove their garbage when they leave the park. They often deposit it in the restrooms. Third, the feeding of animals is prohibited. There is a racoon who has had things thrown at him because people think... more
