We stayed here for two nights in Oct'08. It's a very new hotel located on the eastern side of the Jakar valley, just up the hill from the Swiss Guest House. If you want to sleep DO NOT stay there. And this is a pitty because the location is fine, the rooms are nice and the restaurant and food are above average. BUT the walls between the rooms are like paper and one can hear the person(s) in the next room at either end even turn in the beds, never mind... more

We stayed at this lodge during our visit to Bhutan last May. Such a relief to find a cozy modern room with a comfortable bed and mattress after a long drive from Punakha. The owner adds a perfect touch to our visit with his wonderful collection of books as well as for sharing many things about the Kingdom and its... more
