This was our first visit. Though the website made it sound great, we didn't know what to expect, so we booked a couple of nights at a Ruidoso chain motel. We had planned to stay a single night with Vic and Cathy at the Wortley, but a botched reservation at the chain had us calling early for a three-day stay.... more

We stayed two nights at Casa de Patron, and could have spent the entire summer had the Jordan's let us! The room was wonderfully spacious, clean and filled with historic artifacts. Jerry and Cleis Jordan, the owners, were generous with their time and gave us a thorough history of Lincoln, and other areas in New Mexico. The breakfast was fantastic,... more

The Wortley was a great place to stay. Vic and Cathy, the new owners, have done a fine job of getting this landmark from the 1870s back into excellent condition. The food is wonderful, the rooms are clean and the front porch is the place to be in southern New Mexico. more

The Wortley Hotel in Lincoln, NM is a great place to stay. The new owners friendly and gracious. After a plesant evening visit, we slept in a charming room with all the charm of the old west. I can't say enough about the welcoming since we received. The breakfast the next morning was even wonderful. Don't miss this place. The... more

Contrary to the other 2 reviews we (me and 3 fellow motorcyclists) had a great experience at the hotel Wortley. We booked the rooms during the Golden Aspen motorcycle rally to get away from the crowds in Ruidoso and could not have been happier. Tim advised us check in would be at 6PM and he was there with our rooms... more

This charming B&B is well worth a visit. The accommodations are very modern but the atmosphere remains very historic and comfortable. Our hosts are charming and very helpful in recommending places to go and things to do. Breakfasts are excellent. I can highly recommend this B&B. more

This village is ideal for the history buff or one looking for peace and serenity. One of the best preserved old west villages in the southwest, Lincoln is infamous for the Lincoln County War, a mercantile battle fought with guns between two factions anxious for the monetary gains to be had at the nearby Ft. Stanton and as the county... more

We stayed three nights at the Casa de Patron Bed and Breakfast in July 2006. The owners are truly wonderful people and the accomodations are excellent. During our stay at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast we stayed in the Casita Bonita which is a small private cottage located behind the historical Casa de Patron. This is the perfect place to... more

I recently booked a room for two nights along with my family at this B&B in Lincoln, New Mexico. The reservations specifically said that each booking couple or individual would come with their families; they had this in writing. Yet when I arrived with two ten-year-old boys on the first day of our reservation (the reservation had been made along... more

Give this place a seriously wide berth, at least while Tim Hagaman is still the owner. My husband and I also had reservations for 2nd & 3rd Sept & arrived to find the owner in absentia, the hotel reception deserted and notes left on the counter from other guests who'd had the same problem. We were lucky to get a... more

The most horrible experience I have ever encountered with a hotel. We were literally abandoned by the innkeeper. We had reservations, but when we arrived there was a for-sale sign in front of the place and the front yard was overgrown with weeds. A sign said "look around and check in at 6." Check in at 6! Other guests were... more

We stayed at this unique and interesting B&B and had a very nice time. The breakfasts were very good. The inn is nice and quiet. We stayed in the old adobe. The hosts are gracious, lovely people, and the grounds have wonderful gardens and fruit trees. They don't allow kids or pets in the adobe, which suited us just fine.... more

This is one of the few western towns that lives up to the hype. The "old west ' is getting harder to find but it's here for your enjoyment. more

Very nice night here to kick off a whirlwind week of touring NM. Beautiful, historic, good food, relaxing, comfortable room (Dr. James), off the beaten path. What more could you want? This was my favorite spot of an excellent week. more

We recently spent 3 wonderful nights in this quaint & historically interesting B & B. The room we stayed in was charming, comfortable and immaculate. The bathroom was modern and completely equipped. The Jordans were wonderful hosts and looked after all our needs. Each morning they started us off with a truly gourmet breakfast. The only complaint we had was... more

Wonderful experience. Stayed in late October and the weather was crisp but the fire warmed up the room quickly. Saw lots of wildlife in the area. Dinner was a wonderful experience. It was better than our first stay during Old Lincoln celebration days. Summer was very hot, but fans made the heat bearable. Interesting little place. more

From the owners I heard a story that the house is haunted. They have had their usually supernatural happenings disembodied voices, items dissappearing and then resurfacing, but supposedly two men were sleeping in a room upstairs, when a woman entered their room whispered something to one of the men and then left without a word. When the occupants questioned the... more

what wonderful hosts David and Jinny are. A beautiful oasis. Lush, green, flowers in bloom. The porch of the main house was a favorite with the family. The food is fabulous. A great south-west feel. I heard tales of ghosts, but never had the pleasure of actually seeing one. Don't miss this wonderful place if you're traveling to Lincoln or... more
