We went on a Monday morning in the off-season so the tasting room was nearly empty. The young man there was pleasant and helpful. It cost $5 to taste 6 wines and we paid an extra $2 (I think) to taste the Old Vines Merlot - which was easily the best wine tasted all day. more

We only had a chance to visit a few vineyards, and it was nice to see the contrast of Pindar (the largest) with some of the smaller ones. Home Port Bed and Breakfast

We stayed at Home Port for 2 nights this month. Cheryl was a wonderful hostess full of suggestions on the area (dining, exploring, etc). She recommended that we use her beach parking pass to see the sunset on our first night. What a great idea! Breakfast was spectacular (baked banana pancake was wonderful!).
