What a lovely hotel. Staff are excellent, and accomodation very nice, the only problem i had was the lack of people. Due to the credit crunch the hotel was very quiet, even in though we were in high season. Mauritius is always nice but the Sofitel was as good as you can get for the money, and too be honest... more

Just returned from 1 week holidays in La Pirogue. Although the hotel is ok, especially the environment were the hotel rooms are based, the overall standard is rather old. Looking at the rooms they are very small and very old fashioned. Curtains are probably hanging there already for 10 years and the furniture is also rather out-dated. The rooms definitely... more
