At the end of a dirt track lies this very friendly well run lodge. Absolutely fantastic stay here at Three Trees. We had the place to ourselves and they looked after us like royalty. Excellent value for money too especially given the weakness of the Rand. We were not sure what to expect when we booked at Three Trees. We had an unexpected opportunity to spend a long weekend someplace a driveable distance from Johannesburg, and we did not know where to go. The Cavern is set in an ideal location at the end of a track. It is surrounded by the mountains and there are ample places to walk around outside. Stayed here for one night. The drive to the hotel requires quite a distance along a rough road but we found it fairly easy to find. The welcome was warm and we were shown to our prospector's cottage.
