Ruaha river lodge is an excellent safari location. We stayed there for 5 nights prior to moving to Selous Safari Camp. In many ways the descriptions on the website etc. do not do it justice. We have recently returned from a 4 night stay at Mwagusi. We booked our trip through Tanzania Odyssey and they were superb, we had the best rooms everywhere, and all our connections went like clockwork.What an experience! We wouldn't have changed a thing. We stayed five nights in September 08 and could happily have stayed longer - we felt we were just getting into the swing of things. There are few frills (apart from the excellent food and service) and the camp is proudly in the bush and not separate from it. There will be no hot water in the morning (it's solar)... more
