Wolfpit Bed and Breakfast

We have been visiting this area near Raleigh for almost twenty years and were thrilled when this lovely historic home just on the outskirts of Louisburg opened. We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious grounds with a multitude of beautiful flowers not to mention the large garden of fruits and vegetables. Along with the home, the grounds still have the original plantation... more

This hotel is for the birds! First problem we encountered was there was NO ELEVATOR! What hotel in the year 2007 doesnt have a elevator! we had to walk up a long flight of stairs with ALL of our bags, I was told in the future if I had to stay here to request a room on the bottom floor!... more

The Sandalwood Inn, Louisburg, NC (it dropped/lost its Best Western affiliation in May 2007) is a 4- or 5-year old business class motel that could be at the edge of a slide downhill. Our large room with 2 decent queen beds was clean, along with the roomy bath. However, only one soap bar was provided, and the towels were thin.... more

This has to be the worst run hotel in NC. The management of this Best Western is very unprofessional. They usually have only 1 person working the entire check-in desk. It took 45 minutes to check in and check out during our stay. After leaving the hotel they pretty much overcharged every guest that stayed that weekend for a wedding.... more

This is probably the worst Best Western property I have ever stayed in. My wife and I booked a night here to attend a local wedding. Only after we arrived did we realize how many great B&B's there are in the area, and how this hotel does not compare. The rooms were large enough, but all had a musty, smokey... more

This B&B is such an asset to this small town! My wife and I recently stayed at this Victorian Inn. We loved it! The hostess is warm and gracious. The rooms are well-appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and including fresh fruit, baked goods, and an outstanding quiche! We hope to return soon..... more

During 2004 my mother and I were planning my September wedding which was to take place in Louisburg, NC. As a gift of appreciation to the girls in my bridal party, my mother hosted them at the Barrow-Wilson House B&B the weekend of the wedding. She rented the entire house so we had it all to ourselves. Aside from the... more

Barrow-Wilson House Bed and Breakfast

The Barrow-Wilson Inn is a historical bed & breakfast. It has updated facilities, including central heat and air, which was a big plus. Its in walking distance of the local college and you can even walk to downtown Louisburg to visit the local theater, coffee house and specialty shops. The food is excellent, prepared with care by the bed &... more

Very old town, established 1779 or there abouts, oldest Junior College in North America (Louisburg Junior Colege) was establisehed 1787 or so. Was originally a female college (very progressive at that time). The town sits on the Tar River. Much Colonial period history and War for Southern Independence (Civil War) history abounds. Was the site of the first Methodist Conference... more
