We arrived to this lodge bright and early to check in. The owners were very unfriendly when we arrived. The breakfast was very poor consisting of tiny pancakes. And I agree, it was very hard to find this lodge. All in all, I would not recommend staying at this Lodge due to the unfriendly service and poor breakfast. more

What a good feeling to see that we were not the only ones very offended by this man and I can tell you that the woman was not a hell of a lot better. Reserved through a Quebec tourism website so I wasn't sure what I was getting. It was great. Not a 4 star, but clean, quiet, nice private balcony, walking distance to town area and restaurants. Friendly staff. Great $4 breakfast on site. Loved the place. Parking could be a little tight in some of the other buildings. more

Considering paying less than most other establishments in the area, this motel offered quiet, decent accommodation with nice view of the bay especially at night. One of the worst travelling experiences. Workers at hotel got drunk, and had a party outside my hotel window. At 4 am, went to complain about noise. Just received rude response from staff. At least an apology would have helped but that was unavailable also. Not good. more

We booked two rooms on the internet as a halfway spot between Perce and Quebec City. We were very specific that we all had asthma and needed smoke free rooms. The Commandants is an indoor-corridor, modern, unpretty building set slightly above the main drag in Gaspe. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The staff is bilingual and attentive. The restaurant is good after a day in the spectacular scenery, though unremarkable if you're expecting some interesting French Quebeqois cuisine. more
