Hi fellow campers! We stayed at Redstreak Campground (in Kootenay National Park, B.C.) in July. We have already booked again. We paid $27 to stay in an unserviced spot (this includes the 5% GST tax and 5% PST tax). Next time we go, we have to pay $49 because unserviced lots were booked . Very clean washrooms ( 5 modern... more

Before you read on it is understood that the Lodge has since our stay refurbished at least some of the cabins, if not all. We have never before found anywhere we could not stay... until the night we stayed here. We stayed in two cabins over 2 nights and shortened our booking to stay at the very good value West... more

We needed some quiet time away from the concrete jungle and ended up at Wing Creek Cabins just outside of Kaslo. The cabins were perfect, the hike we went on was awesome and the kayak trip was fun and peaceful. If you want a quiet getaway call Wing Creek Cabins. The cabins are clean, well taken care of and the... more

We stayed in cottage # 10 and the strange thing was it was bull-dozed a day after we checked out! They were remodeling the whole place and so the #9,10 are probably down by now! The place is meant for people who want to get away from the urban commotion. Its in the middle of nowhere on Highway 93 by... more

My husband and I stayed in one of the cabins here for one night during a road trip in late September through the Canadian Rockies. We enjoyed our stay and loved the coziness of the cabin. Of the six places we stayed during our trip through the Canadian Rockies, he voted this his favorite. The cabin was rustic with character.... more

An undiscovered gem surrounded by mountains, lakes and even a mountain fed stream. If you are looking for a great place for some R&R to recharge the batteries look no further. We spent our honeymoon here and it was perfect. In addition to the peace and quiet of the resort, you have quick access to the surrounding area. We watched... more

We booked the cabins at Kootenay Park Lodge on August 17, & 18th, 2007. The staff were pleasant and the food adequate/average. The first cabin we stayed in on the first two dates was rustic alright, and quite worn and in need of refurbishing but fairly clean.. As the surroundings are beautiful we decided to stay another night on our... more

We stayed 2 nights at Redstreak Campground at Kootenay National Park located on a benchland above Radium Hot Springs. I hadn't stayed there for many years, and would definately recommend staying in the RV section with serviced sites. They seem to all be drive though, but are separated with trees giving privacy, Specifically, loops E, F, G, and H. Loops... more

I booked into Kootenay Park Lodge on the basis of the two previous review posted on trip advisor. All the postings about the spectacular scenary and hikes on the doorsteps are absolutely correct - it really is situated in a beautiful place, albeit beside the major (and only) road from Banff to Radium Hot Springs. Sadly the Cabin was dirty... more

Villa Dome Quixote

My wife and I spent 2 nights at Villa Dome Quixote in New Denver BC during our honeymoon and loved it! The lodge is very unique - it consists of several round dome buildings that are constructed from timber ends (forestry industry waste). The construction method has won several environmental awards. Dome Quixote offers lodge rooms with either private or... more

We enjoyed our stay in wing creek on Koootenay Lake . Cabins are well equipped & cosy with a great mountain and lake views. They are near Kaslo, a picturesqe village and a short drive from many other places of iterest, eg Nelson, the old silver mining villages and forest trails( tho a 4+4 would give easier access to these).... more

This place is a hidden gem. The cabins are in Kaslo, which is an hour's drive north from the hippie, tourist haven of Nelson & a world apart. The cabins are delightful; sweet, warm & secluded. The views are breathtaking. We arrived in cloud & snow & woke the first morning to the Purcells in all their glory & Lake... more

We have just returned from 5 weeks in Western Canada, staying in a wide variety of accommodation; we voted this our favourite. The cabins are a bit 'worn' but that just adds to their character! Superb location - there are hikes right from the door. Excellent food in the very homely restaurant (they've not got a liquor licence but are... more

WOW! The mountains are huge in the backdrop, and there is a river behind with walls of rock. This amazing place is the only service from Banff to Radium Hot Springs on highway 93 and offers a store, 10 cabins, a dining room, and an info centre. Everything is rustic decor and the cabins are log. This place is in... more

Four of us took a long-planned trip to the Canadian Rockies where we spent a lot of our time in Kootenay National Park. Perhaps a bit less known than Jasper or Banff, but a beautiful area despite the sad look of so many burned out forests, and full of surprises. Let me say first that I love wildlife, am always... more
