Rodd Brudenell River Resort

We booked a cottage as we were arriving late and golfing early. They were awful. You could smell the mould and see it too. There was no way I would spend a night in that room. However when I complained to the desk they did move us up to the main resort for the same price. more

Our stay exceeded our expectations. This property is tied for first place with their Crowbush Resort as for excellence in service and amenities. We were very happy to enjoy all this property has to offer for the non golfer. As a family of four we truly relaxed throughout our stay. The junior suites are very spacious, yet everyroom includes a... more

Although the Brudenell Resort is a lovely place, with friendly and caring staff in the golf shop, front desk and the restaurant, the cottages are not up to this standard. They are small, smell musty and the bathrooms are so noisey that you hear the people in the attached cottages using the facilities while in your room. Stay in some... more

On a recent trip to PEI we found ourselves without a room reservation for one of our nights. We rolled into the Rodd Brudenell River Resort in the late-afternoon and were able to secure a last-minute room rate of $105 (after a bit of negotiating). It turns out the normal rate for our room was $175 (breakfast not included), even... more

While on a brief trip to PEI, Canada, we found this B&B that was open at an off season for PEI. It turned out to be a wonderful place for us. The operator was friendly and helpful. The room was well maintained, clean with a firm bed, the Dewars garden looks like it would be worth a stop in season... more

We stayed at the Rodd Brudenell River Resort Sept 4-7. Had been to PEI before and golfed at the two courses . It looked like a great spot so decided to stay there this trip. The location is pictuesque. All rooms overlook the golf course and the river. It is convenient to golf. Right outside your room is the driving... more

A beautiful historic estate once owned by Dr Best and his family who discovered insulin. Beautiful rooms, period antiques, super fireside breakfast. Only 25 minutes from Charlottetown, the islands capital. The inns property borders the Confederation Trail on one side and the Cardigan Bay on the other. After looking through the Prince Edward Island visitors guide we saw that this... more

This is a fantastic place to stay. Upon our arrival we were served tea and short breads. Very friendly interesting hosts. The grounds are really beautiful and well maintained. There are flowers everywhere you look. The breakfast was fruit and eggs benedict. Tasty! There is a trail leading along the river to Montague. Roseneath supplied us with Trek bicycles to... more

I stayed at the Rodd Brudenell Resort one night in a suite room ( not fancy but very serviceable and neat ). We arrived without reservations and fortunately there was availability. The lady at the front desk offered the suite room at the same rate as a regular room. It had a king bed, large closet, bathroom, dresser, two televisions,... more

August of 2002, we stayed overnight at an utterly delightful B&B in Cardigan, PEI: Roseneath B&B. It's "secluded" yet easy to find --just a short drive from the Pictou, NS ferry., and an easy drive to Charlottetown. Charming country home surrounded by hollyhocks and lovely gardens, with woodsy walks, too. Great hospitality--we were greeted with cookies and iced lemonade served... more
