Just returned from 3 nights in my new "home away from home. " This lovely Bed & Breakfast is located approx. 30 mins from the Montreal P.E.Trudeau International Airport in Vaudreuil-Dorion , Quebec. You will feel very welcome the moment you meet the proprietaire, Lise Roy . Mme Roy loves meeting people & sharing her beautiful ,1885 Queen Anne home.... more
My husband and I had driven past this hotel on many trips to Montreal and decided on this trip to try it. Never again the hotel staff service was so bad it actually became funny, we spent the weekend guessing what they could possibly do next and where amazed each day with the level of incompetance they managed to achieve.... more
This Super 8 advertises that they have internet connectivity and DO NOT BE FOOLED!!! If you need Internet as I do while traveling on business, do not stay at this hotel!! the beds are rock hard as well. I like firm matresses, but just slightly less hard than sleeping on the floor and these mattresses might as well been the... more
We stayed at the Super 8 while attending a family get-together in Hudson, about six miles away. It wasn't our first choice - the Willow Place Inn in Hudson itself was fully booked - but we are very glad we stayed at the Super 8 because it is excellent value for money, and you even get a free continental breakfast... more
A beautiful property and elegantly appointed suites. Loved everything from the bathroom to the pool. However, be warned -- the "Garden suite" carries a $5 premium which will take you away from a "Front side suite" with its view and faint rumble of the four-lane highway but the only garden you will see is an asphalt roof extending to an... more
We are from this area and were hosting our wedding in nearby Hudson. We were looking for a well-priced motel/hotel to reserve a block of 10 rooms to make available at a good price to some of our guests who didn't want to splurge on a local B&B - so we visited a couple of places in the area and... more
My boyfriend had a conference at the Chateau Vaudreuil and I thought it was a nice conference center. The room was beautiful and the grounds were well kept. The food supplied by the hotel for both the buffet breakfast and the conference ending dinner were excellent. But I have two major complaints about this hotel. 1. The location is many... more
This hotel is overrated due to several points: Staff is lukewarm, and several minutes after my arrival this was truly confirmed. Overall, the lobby and grounds are very nice, and well maintained. In the room there is peeling wallpaper. There is also exposed plywood above the window where the electric window shade is attached. It seems unusual that the convenience... more
Went to this hotel for a wedding this weekend. Checked in at the front desk and was told that breakfast was until 11:00am. The next morning I went to have breakfast at 10:35 and was told that I would have to order a la carte since breakfast was done at 10:30am. Waited for the staff to clean a table for... more
This is a beautiful suburban hotel in a rather odd setting. It is approximately 30 miles (at least an hour due to road construction) west of Montreal and the area around it is developing rapidly. It is easily accessible from Autoroute 40 from the east, but from the west you have to take a circuitous route through the busy town.... more
This was a great little find for us. It 's just off 40 and convenient to Hudson and other cities in the area we were visiting. It looks and feels like a private home, owned by your favorite aunt. The "aunt" in question is Lise O'Connell, who is an excellent cook, a clean and tidy housekeeper, and a good decorator,... more
This is one of the finest hotels I 've stayed at in all my years travelling. I arrived at the Cheateau at 1.30 am in the morning with my husband and three kids ages 3,5 and 14. This is the only hotel that we have ever stayed at that has anticipated the needs of a young family scheduled to arrive... more
Very nice hotel. Good pricing. Great example of how a Motel can be a Hotel. Very clean rooms. Staff helped us with everything we needed. One of the friendliest staff ever, better than most big hotels. Will definatly stay there again! more
This is one of the few Montreal-area hotels I can recommend (actually it is more like a country inn). Unfortunately it is too far from downtown, but ok if your business is in the West Island. Nice and clean rooms. The on-site restaurant is very good too. more
My husband and I were married at Chateau Vaudreuil, outside by the water side on May 30th 1998. Intimate wedding with only 20 guests. What a wonderful experience. My guests were astonished, the ceremony, the food, the entertainment, dancing etc. We stayed for the weekend, our room was just wonderful, bedroom with french doors, living room to greet a few... more
Right next to the highway, but remains a quiet and very nicely maintained property. Service levels are high and the restaurant's food is quite good. Rooms are all suites with wonderful bathrooms. There are a number of nearby top class restaurants in Hudson if you don't wish to dine at the hotel. It's convenient to the Hwy 40 business community... more
I thought that the grounds of the Chateau Vaudreuil were truly spectacular, and endless flow of finely manicured gardens........and the food in the Villa D'este Diningroom was nothing short of outstanding. Staff and management were extremely courteous and helpful.........looking forward to going back to the "Chateau" as soon as possible ! more
This is just an upgraded Embassy Suite Hotel. The pictures on the web look wonderful, but the rooms are nothing. There is also nothing to do there. The water is terrible, and no way could you swim. The only good thing about this hotel, is it is close to the airport. more
