The North Dakota Lewis & Clark Interpretive Center

It cost money to see this interpretive center and there were only a few displays - a waste of time! The only neat thing was the canoe carved out of a tree. There are two other visitor sites in the area that are FREE and so much, much better than this interpretive center (which is also a highway rest area).... more

Fort Mandan

Fort Mandan is a rebuilt replica of the original Fort that Lewis and Clark stayed at. But it's just a fort. It's shaped like a triangle and has a few "furnished" rooms so you can see what they might of had while they lived there. The guide wasn't able to answer any of our questions so he wasn't very informative. more
