This is definitely worth a visit if you are visting the area or live nearby. The house is full of history and fascinating objects including the art on display. The guided tour is most informative. The grounds are beautifully kept as well. Don't miss a visit to the Butterfly House! Very good value for money overall and a great day... more

My wife and I have just come back from a 7 night stay at the Prince Of Wales Hotel near Berkeley Gloucester,having stayed at 6 other Shearings hotels on self drive ,this one and the Hydro at Pitlochry come out on top in our estimation.I read the previous reports after making our booking and was ready for a disappointing stay... more

Berkeley Castle is a great place to go for a day out and it is easy to get to from my home in Bath. The inside of the Castle is fascinating, especially the King's Gallery where Edward II was imprisoned and murdered.
