On arrival the hotel looked quite nice and the reception, hotel bar and restaurant were all ‘recently(ish) refurbished’ and as such good. The rooms were reached by an undercover corridor, which was past its best, although it looked out on a rather nice enclosed garden. Our room was on the second floor and unfortunately stunk of smoke.
