Went to the Still House the other day, and had the Fish and Chips they were pretty good- not greasy at all. THe Scotch Egg was worth all the cholesterol goodness. The place is pretty cozy-sit near the dart board at your own risk. :) But it was a nice bar feel without being to scary-families were seen here as... more
If you like beers or whisky (scotch to you americans), this is a great place. It's one of those places that has a menu for beer, and they even offer some really decent Scottish beers that are hard to find. A very wide selection of good beers. The location is interesting. They have an excellent outside patio area overlooking the... more
My girlfriends and I meet here occasionally for breakfast and chatting. This coffee shop has a nice, casual atmosphere. The menu is small, but I can say that the quiche was just about the best I've ever had! (Made at the shop I believe.) Good selection of coffee & tea. more
Every time I've been to Bugatti's I have been extremely impressed by the service. The staff is friendly, attentive without hovering, truly seem to enjoy their jobs. I've only had the pasta dishes (I'm not fond of pizza) and everything I've tried has been wonderful. more
Mom and Dad can choose from a variety of specials on Tuesdays for 2 for $10 special, and the kids love the food too! Chicken fried steak to die for! As a family of 4 we are usually out with no more than a $20 bill before tip! more
We stayed at the Best Western for 3 nights in June for an event we were attending. The front desk was very nice and helpful. Several of us were without a car and wanted to see a movie and the hotel shuttle took us to the theatre. The hotel is right off 205 and was convenient for shopping, event site... more
My husband and I have tried this restaurant on and off for four years. We have never found the service or the food that great, we would wait months between visits. Last night we attempted to dine there again, things started out great. We shared a Seviche appetizer, enjoyed an Escalor fish entree. Had a lovely Silver Oak Cab, and... more
Upon returning from a day in Hood River over Labor Day week-end the idea was tabled to stop in at a Scottish Pub in Oregon City.... Scottish Pub you say...in Oregon City....uh huh, sure. What a pleasant surprise and fabulous discovery! We ended up securring a couple of stools bar side on the ground level after exploring the layout....actually a... more
Wow, when I checked out TripAdvisor for a good place to eat in Oregon City, this place came in #1. OC must be a awful place to have to eat out in in that case. It wasn't terrible, but there is nothing to this place to make it stand out. The food was typical American versions of Mexican food, a... more
Good southern Portland suburban location for exploring the wineries. All rooms have balconies overlooking the Willamette River. Rooms have been recently renovated with new decor and furnishings. There is an on-site coin laundry and outdoor pool. Pets are allowed and there is a wakling area along the river for them. Restaurant good at dinner but breakfast only so-so ($4.00 breakfast... more
I've eaten there three times now. I recommend the 5 piece halibut fish and chips basket. Fish was lightly battered and fresh. My current 1st choice for halibut fish 'n chips in Portland metro. I like Burgerville's halibut also, but Burgerville's isn't as good. The battered mushrooms were excellent also. Had the mushroom burger and it was good. Bun was... more
I honestly want to say that I had the best experience at Mia Famiglia however, sadly, I cannot. The menu offered expansive creations and lots of fresh ingredients to choose from. The pizzas were phenomenal, as was my vegetarian calzone. The wine list had some admirable bottles at very reasonable prices. There was just one glitch - the service did... more
Great place to eat in OC. It is about time we have somewhere that isn’t a bar or trying too hard at the other end of the spectrum. The prices reflect the value; the food is always right when I’ve gone there and though there can be a little wait time in the nearly non-existent lobby, it doesn’t run on... more
Go to this restaurant ... but don't use the map TripAdvisor gives you!!!! If you follow THEIR directions, you'll end up in West Linn near Marylhurst College instead of out on the Clackamas River and across from Carver!!!! Instead, take Exit 10 from the 205 (213) and get in the left lane to turn at the first signal (at the... more
I've been here three times now and it's been great everytime. The thin-crust pizza is VERY tasty, and the waitstaff have always been friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you like good pizza! more
Friendly waitstaff, a fun atmosphere, a great menu and a BIG cup of coffee.. How can you argue with that? I've heard their desserts are to-die-for as well, but I haven't had a chance to sample them yet. Check this place out. It's a lot of fun. more
The RiverShore is a great bar and grill in the same style as "Cheers". It's the place where if they don't know you when you arrive, they make it a point to introduce themselves. It's a professional working class type place where the atmosphere is very relaxed. Service is great in the Bar and the Restaurant has some of the... more
This is not a new motel, and from the outside it looks, well, a bit grim. However, inside it has been completely refurbished and the room we had (3rd floor king) was very nice. The bathroom had all new faucets and was finished with marble in the tub and sink area. There was a microwave, fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer,... more
Not worth the price, even with free wify. Property not maintained: Drains don't drain; door bolt doesn't work; screen doesn't slide; toilet loose on the floor; non-smoking room reeked with smoke; bathroom not clean; kick marks on the door; dingy elevators. Only redeeming value is its view of the river. We would not stay here again. more
