I recently stayed at the Berwyn Guest House in Rhyl and would highly recommend this guest house. Fiona, the proprietor, was friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The room was large, bright and airy and we had a tv,dvd player and tea and coffee making facilities in our room. I am a coeliac and need a gluten... more

The Rhyl area has very few hotels available which are modern and clean and suitable for all ages of people. We have tried many of them over the years when we have visited family in the area, so we know this from bitter experience! This new Premier Inn is thus very much welcomed. The Inn is new, clean, well equipped... more

As someone who critiques hospitality establishments for a living this restaurant with rooms was practically perfect in every way. The food was well thought out and highly executed which was complimented by a fantastic wine list. The rooms were spatious and grand. The overall experience made our trip to North Wales very special. more

With a warm and friendly atmosphere this cosy retreat is a must for anyone wishing to experience "Food Heaven". All meals were exquisitely presented and the vegetarian options were, by far, the very best , even when compared to the Jules Verne Restaurant ,Eiffel Tower, Paris. Attention to detail and with a caring attitude to individual needs makes this restaurant... more

We have been staying in North Wales to visit family for many years in Rhyl and only stumbled across this hidden gem this year quite by accident. Reportedly the oldest house in Rhyl (300+ years) this small family run hotel is positioned within the outskirts of a rather charmless area of modern Rhyl. However once inside the grounds you leave... more

I only stayed one night at this cosy hotel, but I will definitely return for a longer period. The rooms were beautifully decorated for Christmas and I received a very warm welcome and personal service. The breakfast was truly superb, full English breakfast with fresh fruit and well presented. I would recommend this hotel as a stopover for anyone travelling... more

If you are seeking superb accommodation in a quiet and pleasant environment with welcoming hosts then look no further. Barratts of Tyn Rhyl, a listed building, has been tastefully and sympathetically maintained creating a real home from home atmosphere where I was made to feel really welcome. As a stopover point from Dublin to Bath, we decided to stay in Wales. Specifically Rhyl, due to a friend's recommendation. He recommened we stay at the Sandy Shores Guesthouse. This place is very centrally located, a 5 minutes walk from pretty much anything: shopping, restaurants, the beach, arcade, etc. The house itself is cute: the exterior charming, and the... more

We have just spent a lovely week in Kimnel Bay, Rhyl. I havent been there since I was a child, but its a relatively short coach journey from home here in Fleetwood, the kids (aged 9, 10, 16) have never been to Wales so we picked a caravan park called Palins and off we went. Well, we booked again for... more

Fantastic room and wonderful hospitality. We were greeted with a cup of tea and a warm slice of cake which was totally unexpected but greatly appreciated. Room was spotlessly clean and large and even had chocolate, crisps tea/coffee making facilities, water and a decanter of sherry (I think) all complimentary. Breakfast was outstanding with a choice of whatever we required... more

Occupying a rather lonely outpost on the road out of Rhyl, arguably the grimmest place on the otherwise largely delightful North Wales coast, this delectable establishment is something of a a tranquil oasis, wildly contrasting with the rather run down disposition of the town in which it is stationed. I first became aware of the existence of Barratt's via its... more
