Steps to the top still closed as of March 2006, but the views of the island from the ground level were still spectacular. The lowest prices we found for trinkets! E.g., a magnet we saw elsewhere for $4 was only $2 at Gibb's. more

My family enjoyed visiting the lighthouse. If you are staying near the lighthouse and are able to walk to it, it is worth the trip. It is quite a workout walking to the top! Although you can't go outside it, the view is still neat to see. more

Vistited Gibb's lighthouse in July 2005. Its $1.50 per person to go inside the lighthouse. The walkway around the top is closed for reno's so you can't see much at the top of the stairs other than the light equipment. The outside railing is rusting away and obviously unsafe. No materials or work equipment appeared to be on site, so... more
