We read all the reviews on this and dediced to take a chance on it, after all an extravaganza...a spectacle like you will never have seen before... The guide books said if if's your thing then it will be amazing. They are v right when they say 'if thisis your thing' and this is definitely not my thing. We felt... more

As a party of six we reserved, through our rep, a table together in the best seats, 90 CUC each, so we could really enjoy the evening. On arrival we were pointed to a table on the furthest side of the nightclub, which we refused. After a 20 minute argument we were finally given two separate tables, one for two... more

Visited 28/11/07 Albeit Havana is a crumbling city, the Tropicana Club resists such pressures. If you want an evening that is the best in Havana then book in for a show. The tickets may seem alittle high in price compard to the standard of living in Cuba, but as you have spent your money in travelling to the island it... more

I, too, am somewhat stymied by less than stellar reviews for this glorious nightspot in Havana. My wife and I, together with our Marine son stationed at the US Interest Section in Havana and three other young Marines, visited the Tropicana the evening of November 17th. We paid for a table one tier away from the stage and sat well-positioned... more

I've just arrived home from my vacation in Varadero, Cuba early this morning, and had to add a review about this wonderful part of our trip. I've read quite a few of the reviews here about the Tropicana show, and I have to disagree with these people that think this show was not worth going to see, or that it's... more

The Tropicana experience is a glimpse of pre-revolution Cuba, where Carmen Miranda, Josephine Baker and others entertained the wealthy with Latin dance numbers performed by women with neck-breaking headdresses. It's certainly pricey--I think we paid around $75 for dinner+show. This included 1/4 bottle of rum apiece although, since there were 3 of us, they actually just gave us the whole... more

Everyone says you must see the Tropicana cabaret show when you visit Havana, although no-one really knows why. The so-called world famous club only seems to be known world-wide by those who have actually seen it. The costumes are amazingly bright and glitzy, the dancing impressive, the songs a little repetitive, the midget throwing quite amusing, the tapas served during... more

This was a spectacular like you will see no where else! Truly a must see place to visit, apparently its expensive if you pay on the door but we did it as part of a two day trip to Havana which was paid for and it was very reasonable this way as meal, entrance and drinks were included. The openair... more

Even though it's not our sort of thing, we thought the Tropicana would be a must see. If you're thinking this too then be firm and don't bother - spend the money on something else as you can certainly live without it. It is very overpriced and I would never pay that much for a show back home. It was... more
