We just came back from the Paradise - Green Island - Dominica. And of course we went to Boiling Lake. If you go for the first time I strongly recommend to hire local guyed. You would learn so many thing during the trip ( it is the whole day trip and you will really enjoy it ). You will pass... more

I recently completed the Boling Lake Hike in Dominica. What a stunningly beautiful trek! This hike is not for the weekend warrior however and does require a moderate to excellent level of fitness as it involves about 6 hours of hiking up and down mountains. The payoff? During our honeymoon to Dominica, my wife and I made it to the Boiling Lake and back on 12/19/06. It was extremely difficult for us. Also quite rewarding. However, do not be fooled by the phamphlet that lists a zillion things to do while in Dominica. Right after the number 1 thing to do-trying a Kubuli beer (A brilliant suggestion)... more
