We rented a condo just east of Rum Point, about a 5 minute drive. We were ecstatic about the beach there. Beach chairs, clean restrooms, showers, wonderful snorkeling, food service were all such a wonderful surprise, and there weren't any fees to pay! Rum Point is a great spot to spend a lazy day at the beach - with all amenities (food, drinks, alcoholic drinks, hair braiding, washrooms, showers). Right now you can only get to Rum Point by car or taxi.....the boat from Seven Mile Beach has stopped. This means it is nice and quiet and not affected by the mad crowds from the cruise ships. Rum Point is a beautiful, family-friendly spot to spend the day. It is a 45 minute plus drive from Seven Mile Beach with a casual restaurant and clean restrooms. The views are gorgeous and the water is warm clear and wonderful! more
