The straw market in nassau is fun. We spent about an hour. A lot of the stands inside are very similar. A few with hand carved wood items - can watch the man make them. Its very crowded, but the place to shop for everything. Be a smart shopper and bargain with them, they will drop the prices to lower than half. there was NOTHING here that we even wanted and we had to buy some souveniers for the kids!!!! we paid $8 (bartered down from $15) for cheap necklaces I can buy in Claires at the mall for $4.50. It's all junk from China!! except for the straw items or some grossly expensive wood carvings. more
