If you realize that the vendors along the way are just trying to make a living and not take your shopping too seriously you can have a little fun on this tour. We got off the Carnival Paradise here and took the tour that brought us to La Bufadora and the Santo Thomas winery (reviewed separately). The scenery was very... more

My husband and three of our kids spent a couple of hours at La Bufadora. We got off the cruise ship and found a taxi that would take us there. We paid $45 for him to drive the 5 of us and to wait 2 hours while we shopped. The kids loved bargaining with the locals and had a blast... more

My husband and I came off a Carnival Cruise Ship, and went to see La Bufadora on one of the excursions. The problem with seeing Bufadora, is that there is a string of open shops before you get there.(About a half mile) You have to watch out for some of these shop owners, they are really aggressive. And don't walk... more

My family and I were on Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas, and decided to go visit La Bufadora on 6/7/07. The cruise offered a 3 hour tour for $21 adult $13 child, but we decided to save money and go with an independent tour company. When we got off the ship, we took the shuttle to downtown Ensenada ($3... more

We had an opportunity to go see the blowhole. It was beautiful. Weather was great and it is amazing the beauty. Then we headed back and did a little bargain shopping. Had fun bartering and got some stained glass, crafts, and great Mexican blankets. Make a day of it! more

The deepwater upwelling that goes past La Bufadora has carved rock spires where the traveling nutrients encourage wild growth on the vertical surfaces. We saw cowries, nudibranches, dorids, tunicates, sponge, hydrocoral, cupcoral anemonies, seafans covering every inch of rock. There were piles of huge starfish and an occaisional 30 armed sunstarfish. The visibility and terrain made for a breathtaking 2... more

We went to Dale's Dive shop, right down at the Bufadora. The morning boat was full, so we had a few hours to visit La Bufadora and the shops. The shops were fun, and the diving was great - colorful and clear! more

Excellent place to visit, the first time anyway, you will find that going back a second day really is kind of boreing. This is a must-see tourist trap if you do visit Ensenada. You have a mile of road with shops, bars, street actors, and restaurants and then the Blowhole at the end of it all. You will want to... more
