We stayed at the Fenix Hotel in Zamora which was excellent in service including Free WiFi Internet service. Took a 20 minute ride by taxi to Lake Camecuaro and saw the 1000 year old Sabia perenial pine trees and took the guided boat ride. Well worth it !! more

Camecuaro is a beautiful place to visit my family is from Tangancicuaro. Camecuaro is a great place to go with your family and have a picnic. i went to tangancicuaro michoacan past year and that lake really liked, this lake has it all. lightly cold great to cool off on a hot summer day. more

1.5 hr drive from Uruapan,Mich. or 1 hr from Zamora, Mich. a real Must, fresh water spring forms a Lake, kept by the community.$1.00 USD entry fee. Typical foods available, 300 yr old trees surround the lake where you can swim, have a pic nic and or row/boat tour. Taxis can take you and local tour operators as well. Mariachis,... more
