As someone mentioned the ruins look like someone's garage collapsed (or to be more precise someone's garage was hit with a hurricane!). It also looks suspiciously like someone concreted some of it back together. Random statues. The Mayan ruins are on the far south tip of Isla Mujeres. Actually, to say "Mayan ruins" is a bid overstated - the ruins are about the size of small garden shed without the roof. The ruins have pretty much blown down due to hurricane wilma, but are still worth visiting. The coastline and caves are spectacular. Ignore weird sculptures and go exploring. more
