Absolutly needed to visit. I was suprised about the quality of the zoo. I spent between 3 and 4 hours. Great Canadian Wildlife section, a lot of animals from all around the world. Staff were great and did provide help. I did visit a lot of zoo all around the world and it's the best one. more

Everytime I visit there is something new to see at this zoo as they are constantly working at upgrading the exhibits and facilities for the animals. A zoo being a zoo, this zoo is not so different as most other zoos, but there are quite a few differences that are really worth going to this one. The prehistoric section is very well done. Great place! This is our second time visiting the Calgary Zoo. They have added a couple new buildings in the last few years, and have top-of-the-line animal enclosures now. Highly recommended. more

This is a great Zoo - apparently it has recently been remodeled so everything is looking top notch and very clean. The zoo was well laid out with animals from different continents all in different areas. There are lots of keepers around to show you stuff and the cafeteria was really well done.
