I absoluteley adore Tintagel, its got to be one of the best places in Britain, and would reccommend anyone to visit. The castle has great views, but is best done on a dry day as its open and hilly. You can walk down or take a short trip on a land rover, which there is a charge for, but we... more
This is a great place to visit with all the family. The views are absolutely stunning and well worth the climb up the many steps. We arrived early and parked in one of the first car parks as you enter into Tintagel as it was free. The others nearer the castle charge and it is not a very long walk... more
Tintagel is more about the landscape and legend than the 5th century ruins. The visitor's center features a short movie which will remind you of the details of the King Arthur legend part. Most of the ruins are located on an island which is accessed by a vertigo inducing set of stairs, bridge over the water and additional stairs carved... more
A fantastic place to visit. There isn't much left of the castle but the location and views are breathtaking and the myth of King Arthur magical. A lot of steps and climbing. more

The clifftop ruins look down over beautiful coves shaped by pounding waves, ocean spray, and two waterfalls. It's easy to imagine what it was like in medieval times as you climb along the pathways that surround the... more
Wonderful castle, or what little is left. You get a real feel of how the place once was, and you get stunning views from the top of the cliff. As previously said, not a place for vertigo sufferers or anyone who has difficulty walking, otherwise, a great way to spend a few hours. Afterwards, head back to Tinagel and treat... more
Very pretty, historical and interesting. My fiance is not a lover of heights and the visit did involve walking down steep steps built into the side of the cliffs. If you can deal with that, the views once you get to the sight of the castle ruins are wonderful. They are situated on rugged cliffs allowing a picture-perfect view out... more
