It's always fun watching the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace. However, it's pretty ridiculous having to get there early to get a good spot. Can't miss this English icon especially if it's a 1st trip to London but once you've been too many times, you kinda get over it. I personally much prefer Windsor Castle more

Definitely one of the cooler places I have been to. The palace is very beautiful and there is a lot of history that is well explained with the included audio guide. Downside is that there isn’t really that much to see (I was done in under two hours) and it isn’t really that cheap. There are also no pictures allowed... more

I debated whether to go by as I'm not really into the whole Royals thing. But it was worth going by to see everthing in the area. We did what others recommended below and saw the guards during inspection when they were preparing for the changing down the street. Crowds along the fence are huge. This is a world famous... more

We bought 2 tickets for Buckingham Palace State Rooms Tour and Royal Mews for August 1 2007 via a reputable ticket agency. The tickets arrived by post before our departure. The tickets stated on them that they were vouchers, which needed to be exchanged for actual tickets at the ticket office on Buckingham Palace Road. So in view of this... more

In our brief stop-over in London we walked through Green Park to Buckingham Palace which I was VERY excited about - one of the sights I wanted to see while I was in London. The palace was smaller than I expected it to be but I guess the grandeur of having only seen the palace in pictures and on TV... more

It is great to walk inside the place and have an opportunity to have a glimpse inside. When you are inside, you immedeately release the richness and grandeur of the place. However, I think that for the price one pays, few rooms were on display. Apart there is quite sometime queing..... A good half day will be spend to visit... more

We went to Buckingham Palace in September 2006. It was myself, a Canadian living in London, and my parents, who were over visting from Canada. The state rooms are open for a time over the summer when the Queen is not in residence, so we got to see them on the last weekend. It was well worth the money! The... more

Being a Brit, perhaps naturally I would have enjoyed this anyway. A sneaky peek into what was once closed behind secure doors serves as a brilliant day out and really instilled my faith in and love of British heritage. The best attraction in London. more

The queues were long - but it was worth it - there is a very good audio guide for the tour and the welcome by Prince Charles and stately music add to the experience. The interior of the palace is quite amazing - room after room of gold, deep red and gigantic chandeliers. I couldn't help being taken with the... more

a main attraction in london. we visited buckingham palace at the beginning of october and the crowds outside the palace to see the changing of the guard was just unreal for the time of year. If it was like it at that time of year, I wouldnt like to see it in the height of the summer. very entertaining to... more
