Over the past two years I have been on four separate London Walks and I haven’t finished one of them because they are only fair at best and often really quite poor. London Walks seem to have a monopoly on walks in London, which is why I keep having to use them; each time I give them another chance and... more

My husband and I just came back from a weekend in London and did two walks. The first was "Royal London & Westminster Abbey". Our guide Brian was fantastic and gave us a lot of history. I absolutely recommend this walk! Our second was the "Along the Thames" pub walk. If I were to do a pub walk again, or... more

My daughter Claire and I did the Harry Potter tour earlier this week. Our driver Michael was terrific, he brought along a DVD player and showed us a scene from the movies, pointing out the details that we would soon see for ourselves. He even took us to Abbey Road so I could get the obligatory picture crossing the road.... more

When in London, do a walk. My teens and I did the Old Westminster Walk (wonderful info about the Westminster area including parliament - ends near the Churchill War rooms), The British Museum Walk (hits big highlights - rosetta stone, Elgins marbles, Egyptian mummies and the Portland Vase) and the Harry Potter walk (not what we expected, but very interesting... more

Being a Sherlock Holmes fan, I was looking forward to the "In the Footsteps of Holmes" walk. Our tour guide was a very enthusiastic lady so I began the tour with high hopes. We began at Baker Street Station and the tour went downhill from there and I am not talking about the slope of the street. We walked around... more

We (2 mid-twenty aged adults) did the London Walks Jack the Ripper Haunts Tour Dec 07. For this tour, you meet the guide as you exit the Tower Hill Tube stop. You can’t miss the guide. He is standing right outside the Tube exit with brochures. There is no need to book in advance, just show up and purchase your... more

This was a great way to see the city at night and it was fun too! We went to 3 pubs - 1 modern and 2 old. The walk started about about 7pm. We had a group of about 15. Simon was a great guide and told us lots about the city I never would have known. I am only... more

We went on the Jack the Ripper walk on a Monday night, and had a wonderful time. Our group was split into two, and fortunately the group we chose turned out to be the smaller one. I can't remember our guide's name, but he wore glasses, and had the perfect demeanor and accent for the tour. The weather was cold... more

I attended The London Walk with Helen as a guide, starting at Westminister station. There was about 10 people, so it was ok for everyone to hear the guide. It was a "quick" (2h) walk around the most important "things to see" in London. It is a good way to start, later I found myself willing to visit again some... more

Went on the Famous Square Mile walk which lasted almost two hours from Monument to the Guildhall. This was extremely informative with facts and stories spanning 2000 years. The guide seemed very knowledgeable. Was only £6 each and for this amount of money I thought it was very reasonable. more
