This was a fantastic museum which can keep most people entertained for several hours. A fascinating insight to the history of welsh life. It also lets the visitor reflect on the change of buildings and interiors over the ages in all of Britain. The highlight of the visit was at the renactment of an ancient celtic settlement where a guy (who... more

I have been meaning to take my wife to this museum for ages and we were both very impressed, The old cottages with log burning fires were wonderful. the grounds, even in winter were really good. A friend recommended that I go to St Fagans/Museum of Welsh Life and I was NOT disappointed! It would probably not be as fun on a rainy day - the weather was amazing for me and this was mid-October - but this place is awesome. It's on 104 acres, they relocate Welsh homes from the Welsh countryside - everything from... more

We've really enjoyed the museum of Welsh life at St. Fagans. This place will take you back in time. There are farm houses, cottages, a castle, animals, old fashioned shops and lovely gardens to explore. Attendants in each house were freindly and informative. Food didn't look too appealing and also pricey at cafes and restaurants there. Lots of grass area... more

This is a fascinating place--it gives you a good sense of the "built landscape" for people of Wales from the Iron Age up through various periods in history. The guides in the houses are friendly and knowledgeable. I loved the woodhenge and stream-ragtree shrine reconstruction particularly, and the Iron Age village was very well done. Very family-friendly--I was there with... more

I really enjoyed my day in St Fagans. Arrived just as it opened at 10 and had the place more or less to myself for a while. Walking around really was like walking back in time. Turn the corner and an old farmhouse then round the bend a water mill another few hundred yards and some quaint shops. Its like... more

The building gathered from around Wales are furnished in the period of there use. Most have attendants that will share the history of the... more
