This is a place that you must see if you visit Paris. The architecture is phenomenal. This is the place where Napolean tomb is as well as some other leaders/soldiers. There is also a museum of armour as well. The building's courtyard is huge. The place is large and too much to describe in words. It's someplace you must see... more

We walked the dome church on 21st April. We looked around the museum first which was really interesting for those interested in the history elements of france, german etc. They had a whole expedition on the holocaust which was quite distressing lots of images and artifacts from the war. We then went to Nepolean's tomb which was a really peaceful... more

My grandson and I went twice while we were in Paris. the war museums are great. Seeing Napoleans tomb was interesting but the exibit of WW II was the highlight for us.. more

Invalides completely blew me away, it was added as an after thought...as the weather was bitterly cold. The most impressive collection of armament...from the ancient...to more modern ...significant collection of artifacts relative to Napeleon. I have very little interest in military history...but was captivated by the breathe of this museum...Napeleon's Tomb is within the same complex...and was quite impressive more

We didn't know what to expect from a "war museum," but it turned out to be one of the more interesting museums in Paris. It starts out with the sandal of a Roman soldier and goes throughout world history. There are exhibits of horse armor from Japan! The muddy uniform of the soldier from WWI complete with bullet hole brought... more
