The medieval wall walk was a pleasant walk bordering the old town. It offered excellent views over the Tauber Valley and of the old town itself. It was about three to four kilometres long in its entirety but an easy grade. There were some good features such as the bricks in the wall you can buy for the "bargain price"... more

The town walls (Stadtmauern) truly give a wonderful perspective on the town. The walls encompass the city a mile around, except around the Castle garden. Rothenburg is the only surviving Imperial Free City which maintained its walls. You can also access some of the towers from the wall, for another great view.
