The Nightwatchman's Tour in Rottenburg is a terrific value. Georg "The Watchman" is both informative and humorus keeping a patter running during the one hour+ tour. The walk is conducted at a steady pace but with several stops it is not strenous for nearly everybody. The town is the star of the show and deserves all the rave reviews it... more

The night watchman provides tourists with the perfect blend of history and entertainment. His tours start in the city center every evening. He is a master story teller, and comes decked out in his "night watchman garb" complete with sickle and lamp. .The nightwatchman is really entertaining. We enjoyed every minute of his tour and plan on taking it again on our next visit. He knows a lot about Rothenburg and is never boring. One tip though, bring exact change. It was almost worth seeing the twinkle in his eye and the smile on his face as he "kept the change". We... more
