I am a huge foodie, so this was like heaven. All the beautiful colors, displays, smells...heaven! There are places to pay for full takeaway meals-even one stand for organic vegetarians! There's wine stands, candy stands, fruit and vegetables, fish and meats-bakeries-just great. Feel free to take pictures, but it gets busy-watch for pickpockets, although we had no trouble here. more

Go on your first morning ... you may want to go back every day. Wonderful produce, fish, etc., etc. etc. Have a coffee and pastry at one of the stands and just soak in the atmosphere and the scene. I've never been anywhere like it. more

Just off Ramblas, it's another touristy stop in Barcelona. It's definitely pretty to look at, given the fruitstands. The prices are good, the fruit is about average, sometimes below average.
