I had been in Brussel for trip on January, 2008. The Royal palace is located just in the center of the city. From North (Nord) station, it's about 25 minutes by walk, it's not too far by walking but takes some time. If you like to walk, it would be pleasant experience to walk there. But was gorgeous from the outside, we saw the changing of the guard too - all three of them! The Palace is opposite the Park which is also lovely and can be part of a nice circular walk through Brussels. more

The Royal Palace in Brussels must be the best kept secret in Europe. It barely gets a mention in most guide books and does not feature in the tripadvisor top ten.In my opinion it is on a par with the Grand Place, i.e. quite magnificent.However to see it you must be in Brussels between the last week in July and... more
